Association of Ontario Neurologists donates four neurology toolkits to African colleagues
|
Toronto, May 28, 2008 - Dr. Ranjit Singh, President of the Association of Ontario Neurologists (AON), announced on May 27 that the AON has donated four neurology toolkits - valued at $250.00 U.S. each- to neurologists in Africa.
Responding to a request from World Federation of Neurology Foundation President Michael Finkel, Dr. Singh said the toolkits were created to answer a dire need expressed by their African colleagues.
Each toolkit includes a reflex hammer, a stethoscope, a 128 HZ tuning fork, the NINDS stroke scale and a flashlight, as well as other useful tools which are needed to perform a neurological examination.
The tools all fit inside a sturdy case, which can be worn as a fanny pack for convenience.
The AON made the donation on May 25, 2008.
